Dear Solitaire Player,
Wings is a one deck game. It is a variation of Eagle Wing.
My version of Wings in Pretty Good Solitaire allows you to play offline, full screen, with complete undo and my unique right click quick move. It's the best way to play solitaire!
There are four foundation piles. They are to be built up in suit from the rank of first card dealt to the first pile, wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards. The game is won when all of the cards are dealt here.
There are eight tableau piles, also called the wings. These piles are built down in suit, wrapping from Ace to King as necessary. Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces are filled from the reserve pile until it is empty, then by any card. At the start of the game one card is dealt face up to each pile.
A reserve pile, also known as the trunk, is in the middle. Cards in the reserve may be moved to the foundations or tableau. At the start of the game 13 cards are dealt here.
The remainder of the cards form a stock. Turn over cards one at a time in the stock to the waste by clicking. There are no redeals.
An average player wins Wings about 50% of the time, although much better scores are possible.
