Thirteens is an addition type game. At the start of the game, ten cards are dealt one each to ten tableau piles. The remainder of the deck forms a stock.
In the tableau, pairs of cards whose ranks add to 13 are discarded. The cards are immediately replaced by cards from the stock. Kings are discarded singly.
How to Play
Any pair of cards whose values add to 13 can be discarded. The valid pairs are Queen-Ace, Jack-Two, 10-3, 9-4, 8-5, 7-6.
The object of the game is to pair up and discard all of the cards in the deck. The game is won when this is done.
Thirteens is an easy game to play and can be won by an average player 65% of the time. Most positions are winnable.
Thirteens is one of the 850 games in Pretty Good Solitaire and one of the 101 games in Goodsol Solitaire 101.
