Prime Minister is an interesting new Terrace type game in Pretty Good Solitaire version 16.2.
It is a two deck game. There are eight foundation piles, which will be built up in suilt from Ace to King. The game is won when all of the cards are moved here.
There are ten tableau piles. Building is down by alternate color. Groups of cards in descending sequence down by alternate color may be moved as a unit. Spaces are filled only by Kings or a group of cards headed by a King. At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to the first and 10th piles, 2 cards to the 2nd and 9th piles, 3 cards to the 3rd and 8th piles, 4 cards to the 4th and 7th piles, and 5 cards to the 5th and 6th piles. Only the top card is face up.
Also, there is a reserve pile. At the start of the game six cards are dealt face up here. The top card of the reserve is available for play only on the foundation piles (not the tableau).
The remainder of the cards form a stock. Whenever play comes to a standstill, clicking on the stock will deal one card to each tableau pile that is not headed by a King. There are no redeals.
Like all Terrace type games, the key to winning Prime Minister is to get the cards out of the reserve pile as quickly as possible.
