Mutual Acquaintance is a two deck variation of the game Acquaintance. It is one of the new games in version 15 of Pretty Good Solitaire.

How to Play

There are eight foundation piles - four are built up from Ace to King regardless of suit and four are built down from King to Ace regardless of suit. At the beginning of the game an Ace and King of each suit are dealt to these piles.

There are eight reserve/tableau piles. At the start of the game one card is dealt to each pile. There is no building on these piles, cards here are just played to the foundations when possible.

The remainder of the deck forms a stock. Clicking on the stock deals one card to each of the eight reserve piles. There is one redeal.

Play is much the same as in Acquaintance (and similar games like Auld Lang Syne) except there are two decks. It is also similar to Double Acquaintance, except that the fact that there are foundations building up from Aces and down from Kings adds an extra factor (and an extra area for skill to come into the game). When piles meet going up or down it is possible to shift cards from one tableau pile to another. This can make it possible to play additional cards from the reserves that could not otherwise be moved.
